Our training division, the Dexter Institute, serves individuals and organizations within the heavy civil construction and mining industries. In the Nova Scotia region, we offer the Heavy Equipment Operator and Heavy Civil Skilled Worker Programs — both registered Nova Scotia Private Career College programs. Through our Co-op Program, students can gain valuable insight and real-life experience in heavy civil construction. Expected positions include project engineer and project coordinator roles, as well as positions in estimating and quality control.
